Love this place. 3 years now I've done at least one trip with them and my family and I love it. It's quiet and you don't have all the ridiculousness that comes with big camp grounds like the KOA nearby. You also have full hookup which is part of my camping preference(not for everyone). When I go camping it's more to get away and not have to deal with all the craziness of the world. This camp ground is just that. I'll keep booking sites here as the years go on. The trails nearby are also fun and relaxing. There is a train that goes by just couple times every 24 hours but it's not persistent by any means they're short trains which don't disrupt you much. Highly recommend this place. Can't say it enough. And the owners are very nice and welcoming while allowing you your privacy. If you want to be away from a ton of people and the highly energetic crowd of the big campground then this place won't disappoint!
This park is beautifully quiet and peaceful, feels very remote, very flat site where we didn't even have to level at all. We hiked on logging roads/paths on a huge hillside of big trees, pines and nice shade. The hiking trail starts right at the campground area. Very friendly staff and seasonals. We would suggest this to people who want a quiet camping experience.
This RV park was my “home” for two years and I can’t say enough good things about it! I had my RV parked here while finishing up medical school and wanted a park with the peace and tranquility of being in nature that allows one to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, while also providing needed amenities. Morningstar was just that! The park is small and nestled in a forest clearing, with a nearby river and forest trails to walk. It provides a quiet setting free of the chaos and “noise” of many RV parks with bright fluorescent lights and concrete everywhere. If you want to connect with nature and slow down for a bit, this is the place for you. Hear the birds sing, watch the leaves fall off the trees, and see the stars at night. Very relaxing! As for amenities, there are four bathrooms and a (free) shower with on demand propane so you still have access to flush toilets and a hot shower—everything you need! There is also an outdoor covered sink for washing dishes. Each site has ample space where you don’t feel on top of your neighbor. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit for long campfire nights…for those of you like me coming from a drought area, no worry about fire bans here! It’s green and beautiful. Finally, the park owners are some of the kindest folks you’ll ever meet. Over the years they’ve become like family to me. They’ve helped me, an amateur RV owner, many times with teaching me the ropes of RV ownership! So bring your RV and stay for a night or a year and enjoy this slice of heaven and tranquility! ☺️
