Well I'll tell ya this place has really went down hill alot . It's not being taken care of . The people running it won't help you . The reserve America people are just about worthless . The only ones will to help were the park rangers. The camp hosts were rude and unhelpful. Laking in common sense and various other things . We have been coming to this place for over twenty years we used to think it was awesome. Not anymore.
it was pretty good. bathrooms were disgusting and showers were not working. luckily we had a shower bag, but was not allowed to hang in the tree for privacy. we were told to take one of our tents down since they have a "two tent rule", yet we saw other people with more than 2 tents on their campsite. rangers were very nice tho. the lake was nasty. brown water, do not recommend swimming in it unless you want the seaweed to get all up in your business. we had a good time otherwise. get your bathrooms running water and you'll be great!
Great place to camp with lots of activities and not too far away if you wanted to go out to eat. Nice area to see wildlife.
I grew up here. And I still love going back. We made 2 trips this summer, 1 for 2 weeks with the kids and 1 for 1 night without.
Beautiful Lake Tioga Hammond. Great for swimming and fishing or just a lovely ride on the calm lake. Camping is available here. Tents to the campers with all the comforts of home. The facilities here could use an upgrade but are within working order. There is a small store on the property. We purchased ice there.
