Having worked in the Virginia wine industry and lived in Germany, I cannot recommend Rooster Hill. The ciders had that “funk” that is unpleasant and the wines were unrefined and astringent. The flights are more expensive than, for example, Keuka Springs, and you cannot choose the 4 you might wish to taste. It was also a little off putting to be required to give your name and phone number before you were allowed to do a tasting (we were there on a weekday so it was not very busy). The flower arrangements on the patio were very pretty and the view of the lake was fairly good. However, my recommendation is to go elsewhere.
Excellent wines some of the best in the finderlakes! Very good service, tastings available in a very nice tasting room.
