Great location - within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The staff is outstanding, friendly, and easily accessible. The pool is impressive, especially for the price. Overall clean and nice room(we stayed in a king jacuzzi suite). Only complaint is a strong musty smell in the room. If you have allergies or asthma, the musty smell can be bothersome.
Really cute bathroom. I enjoyed my stay here. Enjoyed the pool . Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Definitely will recommend and definitely will be back again. Love wellsboro . Didn't take many pics of the room..sorry
I wouldn’t compare this to say a 5 star rating to a really nice hotel. But considering the price, location, amenities and cleanliness it definitely gets five stars. Room was spotless, bed was firm but comfortable. Shower had decent pressure and was spacious. And as a bonus (which I have never seen at a motel) a nice sauna and a nice large pool. They also had changing rooms and a small gym in the pool area. I also didn’t see a hot tub advertised anywhere, so when I got there and saw a hub tub I definitely got excited. Sadly it was out of service, but I didn’t expect one anyway so I can’t really hold that against them. I got one of the smaller standard rooms, but if I stay again I’m going to get a bigger room with a jacuzzi tub and a kitchenette. Not very far at all from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Also wellsboro is a nice little town with everything you need within walking distance. Grocery store, restaurants, bars, movie theatre etc.. would definitely recommend for under a hundred bucks that I paid.
The Canyon motel was awesome! We were on a motorcycle trip down from Buffalo and this motel was recommended to us by Larry's Harley Davidson. The room was clean, the A.C. was cold, and the beds were comfortable. They have a pool, a sauna, and a shower in the pool house. The pool was very clean and heated to about 85 degrees. There is a gym, but it is next to the pool, so if you're wanting to work out on your trip, you're going to have to do it in the slightly humid and warm pool-house. The best sign of a clean hotel is waking up and seeing the housekeepers doing their job around the property. The workers were very helpful, and you didn't feel like you were bothering them if you had a question, very hospitable. If I'm ever passing through again, I will definitely be keeping Canyon Motel on my list.
I have stayed at this motel several times in the last few years and, for the price, is a decent motel. The furniture is a little dated and it certainly is not a top of the line hotel but it is a good value for a short stay. We had one of the two bedroom suites. It was clean, the air conditioning worked very well, and the motel is conveniently located to a variety of attractions including the Grand Canyon of Pa.
